THIS EERIE video and set of photos has given a glimpse inside an abandoned $1Million ‘UFO house’ in the sunny state of Florida.

Pictures show graffiti-covered walls and windows throughout the disk-shaped structure, while the video gives a step-by-step tour of the winding staircases and tight corridors.
Built in 1978 by Miami architect Peter Vander Klout, the structure was one of several similar buildings erected across the United States.
And photographer Bullet, who captured the footage on a recent visit to the site, says he hopes these images will help bring some attention to the unusually shaped house.
“I photographed an abandoned home designed by the same architect located in Homestead, Florida. Doing a little research on other homes he designed, I came upon this home which was also abandoned,” he said.
“People decades ago thought of the future as being UFO-shaped homes, flying cars and robot butlers. But that future never happened.
“The home is supposedly going to be demolished soon, so I hope people can see the architect’s work as there’s maybe another three homes left that he designed in this same manner.
“Most people can’t believe that a place this unique is actually abandoned. Personally, I wouldn’t want to live in it due to the tight corridors, curved walls, and small living spaces but I know there’s people who enjoy that.”
The entire structure is made out of concrete, with the disc-shaped top portion of the building weighing in at an astonishing 280 tonnes.
After the top part was completed it was raised with the use of hydraulic rams to its final position, with pylons being put in place below to support the structure before the walls were built around the exterior.
It’s one of several designed by Vander Klout and, though some have now been demolished, similar houses remain intact in Plantation, Florida; Garden City, South Carolina and Mettawa, Illinois.
The building was last sold for approximately $950,000 in 2012, and is valued on today’s market at $1.1 million.
