The following scenes unfold as Alice meets with all of the famous characters of the pipe-smoking caterpillar, the peculiar croquet game with the pack of cards, rabbit, the King and Queen of Hearts and her being a witness in court.

The movie ends with Alice back in the garden appearing to be slowly waking up from what was a dream after all.

The well-known scenes make up a silent film released in 1915 by writer and director, WW Young.

The film starred Viola Savoy as Alice. It is notable for depicting much of the ‘Father William’ poem that appears in the original Alice in Wonderland book by Lewis Carroll.
