Growing up, Alissa Danielle Mut (23), a beautician from Fuerth, Germany says that she never felt comfortable in her skin as she always struggled with carrying extra weight so would starve herself during the day and then gorge on food in the evening which would lead to her eating more than she needed.

Incredible before and after pictures show Alissa on her weight loss journey to lose an impressive two-stone-and-nine-pounds. Before her weight loss, Alissa says that she looked ugly and wasn’t comfortable in her own skin.

“In my young life, I always struggled with extra kilograms and I never really felt comfortable in my skin,” Alissa explained.

“Having that struggle of being overweight and always wanting to be skinny, I always ended up eating good in the morning and really badly in the evening, or so I thought, but what I did was very bad because I actually ate nothing until the evening when I would eat a lot of fatty carbs and everything that we had in the kitchen.

“I felt unhealthy, ugly and definitely wasn’t comfortable.”

Alissa said that she decided to lose weight to look and feel good next to her husband who was more active than her but was soon hooked when she started going to the gym.

“I decided to lose weight because my husband had muscles and was way more active than I was,” she added.

“I wanted to look and feel good by his side, he never told me or encouraged me to lose weight because he loved me the way that I was.

“He really is the best husband that I could imagine and he is more than supportive.

“We started to go to the gym together and he showed me lots of exercises and I started to like going to the gym because there I could escape from life and could focus on just me.

“That was my little treat after a long day at work.”

After going from 11st 4lbs to 8st 9lb and a size 14 to a slim size eight, Alissa says that she finally feels sexy and has decided that being strong is much more important than being skinny.

“It really has changed my life because now I feel healthy, that is really important for me because I always thought that my goal would be to be skinny but being healthy and strong is a way better feeling.

“Now, I eat what I feel like eating and I’m not counting calories anymore and with my new self-esteem I can focus on bigger goals.

“I feel happier, confident and finally sexy.”

Whilst she was losing weight, Alissa went to the gym between five and six times a week but now goes four times a week to maintain her fitness and shape. She says that she is currently working on achieving a six pack but is always focussing on her bottom.

“My main focus is my backside because I never had a butt,” she said.

“I literally had to put in a lot of work and sweat to earn my behind and at the moment I’m also working on getting a six pack.

“Plenty of people liked me before and others love me now, I think it’s always in the eye of the beholder and to others I’m an inspiration and I’m really enjoying that.”

Alissa says that the hardest thing she had to cope with was other people laughing at her when she started going to the gym and says that there is no quick fix for weight loss.

“I think the hardest thing about losing weight was on my second day at the gym to hear somebody whispering to another person that I look fat and asking what I was doing there,” she remembered.

“I was sad for maybe a couple of seconds but in the end that only gave me more motivation to do more.

“I still can’t understand why people would make mean comments about somebody else who is trying to get fit, I think people should mind their own business.

“I know that everybody hopes for a quick fix and I don’t know if there is one without surgery but what I know for sure after trying to lose weight for so long is that making small changes works.

“By small changes I mean that I replaced my soda with juice and after some time with tea or water.

“I also started to cook more and add veggies and some protein, my meals before were just carbs on carbs and sometimes they still are but now I can enjoy them without feeling bad.

“I also took the stairs instead of the elevator, you can make as many changes as you like but I would recommend to take it slow, don’t restrict yourself from everything you like or else it will be stored directly as fat.”
