PICTURES SHOW grandmother married to a man 37 YEARS younger than her, hosting a gender reveal party as she prepares to become a mom for the EIGHTH time.
Cheryl McGregor (63), from Rome, Georgia, in the US is a mother-of-seven and a grandmother-of-17 who met her husband Quran McCain (26) in 2012 when he was just 15 years old and she was 52.
The couple revealed the upcoming birth of their first child with a gender reveal party, complete with confetti and smoke cannons.
The couple actively share their love online, and the couple revealed last year that they would be having a child via surrogacy, since Cheryl is unable to naturally conceive due to her age.
Now, they have once again shared an update about their baby, while revealing footage of themselves at their gender reveal.
In the video, which has over 12 million views, Cheryl is wearing a pink dress with a sash that says, ‘Mommy to be.’
The couple first try to pop a balloon to discover whether they will be having a girl or boy, but when both blue and pink confetti came out of the balloon, they realised they were tricked by their loved ones and the real gender reveal was taking place outside.
The soon-to-be parents went outside and they each grabbed a smoke cannon.
After setting them off, they discovered they would be having a baby girl.
As soon as Cheryl saw the pink clouds of smoke in the air, the grandmother-of-17 began cheering and jumping up and down as she held onto her 26-year-old husband.
The pair first met in 2012, when Quran was just 15 years old while they were working at the fast food chain Dairy Queen.
But romantic feelings didn’t blossom until much later, as they lost contact but reconnected in 2020 when caretaker Quran saw Cheryl working as a cashier at a convenience store.
The couple began dating and they then got married in 2021 after Quran proposed on a live stream with 20K people watching.
Soon after the couple started dating, they began posting videos of themselves on TikTok and they have now become viral sensations on the platform because of their nearly four-decade age difference.
The pair also set up an Only Fans account for their saucier content.
This viral gender reveal video was captioned with: ‘It’s a girl.’
Fans flooded the comments section and congratulated the couple on their parenthood.
One person said: ‘Why can’t some people be happy for others, why all the hateful comments congrats queen.’
Another user added: “That’s so cute. And y’all need to stop judging people without knowing their story first.”
‘Awwww she’s look soooo happy,’ a different user commented.
Someone else wrote: ‘Congratulations king and queen.’
However, others criticised the pair due to their age difference.
One user wrote sarcastically: ‘Aw, she’s going to be the best grandma.’
Someone else commented: ‘The way I ran to these comments! Am I being pranked???.’
Another person added: ‘Hope she gets to see the baby. When it is born.’
Addressing their age gap, Cheryl previously shared: ‘We understand that I may not be there for as long as Quran is, but I have faith in him.
‘If I am not here, he can do it. He’s gonna be a great father, he’s a responsible adult. I had every bit of faith that he could raise our child, and do it very well.
‘Our family is also very supportive of our decision to have children. At first they were hesitant for the same reasons.
‘However, now five of my children have come to accept the idea, and my mother-in-law and I make videos together.’
The couple have regularly come under fire from trolls online due to their unconventional relationship, but that doesn’t phase them.
Quran previously said: ‘People on social media have a lot of hate for us. They say I’m dating my grandmother.
‘I am not. She is younger than my grandmother. We are no different from any other couple – love is love.
‘No matter what they say or do, it can’t hurt us. We know the stuff that they say isn’t true, and they believe it. We feel sorry for them.
‘We get a lot of hate, but it doesn’t phase us. At the end of the day, we still got each other, and that’s all that matters.’
