The inspirational video charts Seana’s high intensity fitness journey as she documents every step along the way. Seana achieved her goals by using the Freeletics fitness app, which tailored her exercise routines to give her two thirty minute-per-day circuit training sessions.

“Throughout high school I was really into sports and played basketball for my high school team,” she said.

“However when I started university this all changed.

“As you can imagine four years of almost no exercise, junk food every day and a lot of alcohol meant my health suffered and I gained a lot of weight.

“After graduating from university I moved to Munich to be closer to my German family. It was pretty tough at the beginning as I left my friends and social life behind which left me feeling lost.

“As well as this, every day when I looked in the mirror, I was faced with the reflection of a person I didn’t recognise and also didn’t want to be.

“After months of feeling down, I woke up one day and decided enough is enough. I did the first twelve weeks with mainly Freeletics bodyweight only.”

Seana admitted the change in nutrition was much harder mentally than the exercise.

“At the beginning it was so tough. I found the change in nutrition harder to deal with than the training,” she said.

“I really craved all the unhealthy things I was used to but the stricter I was with myself, the easier it became.

“I cut out all sugar, junk food, alcohol and lowered my refined and processed carbohydrate intake – like white bread, pasta and rice. I stuck to fresh fruit and vegetables and prepared everything myself.

“The exercise aspect – although not as mentally challenging as nutrition – was still very difficult. I started waking up an hour earlier to train before work and did not allow things like rain, darkness or cold weather stop me.

“Before the workout I would always ask myself “is this really worth it?”. But after the workout the answer was yes every time.”

Seana noticed a change in herself within a few weeks and loves her new body so much she has kept her exercise routine up.

“I had a lot more energy and confidence and after a workout I felt so happy and ready to start my day, whereas before I was always tired and didn’t really look forward to much,” she said.

“However, it was my colleagues who started seeing my results first. I think it was after week four when the first person told me that my face had changed a lot and become thinner. For me it wasn’t until week six or seven.

“Those fourteen weeks with Freeletics really helped me realise how much I enjoy exercise and how good it makes me feel.”

Seana’s advice for anyone who wants to lose weight is just to be patient and keep at it.

“I started training with Freeletics to lose weight, but in the end it changed my whole life,” she said.

“I’m more outgoing, confident, happier and focused. I’m more driven at work and outgoing in my social life.

“I want to tell people to stop making excuses. It’s never too late, too dark or too cold to start. You can even do Freeletics in your living room if you want to.

“It doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time and a lot of patience and dedication. Small steps every day like waking up thirty minutes earlier to train, cutting out sugar in your coffee or taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

“These will help strengthen your willpower and over time these small changes, will result in big achievements. So stick in there.”
