By Mark McConville

ENJOY your own private street party this summer by renting this row of luxury cottages in the Lake District that can house SIXTY-SIX GUESTS for around £9.5k in total for a week’s stay – costing just £20 per-person per-night.

Incredible images show the row of cottages in Windermere, Cumbria, UK with four-poster beds, spacious kitchens and cosy living areas.

Some of the cottages come with special features including a shuffleboard table, a Jacuzzi and a cinema room.

This group of properties in the Lake District can be rented individually or together, effectively renting the whole street, so you can sleep up to 66 people in 30 bedrooms.

If you fancy inviting all your friends and family on holidays this year it won’t come cheap with each cottage in the row priced between £1.9k and £2.6k.

White Moss sleeps up to 12 people and works out the cheapest of the bunch at just £1,904 for a week’s stay. Next is the seven-bedroom Boston House and five-bed Bannerrigg which both come out at £2395. Alice Rowe and Number One complete the set at £2,600 each.

Bannerrigg is perhaps the most interesting house as it is a Grade II listed property and was designed by Augustus (AWN) Pugin (1812 – 1852), arguably the greatest British architect, designer and writer of the 19th Century whose name is synonymous with the interior of The House of Lords and the Palace of Westminster.

The houses on the terrace were designed as holiday homes for the railway executives each one having unique character.

“The historic nature of this spacious property is reflected in the style and quality of the decor, furnishings and accessories,” reads the listing.

“If you are looking for a big house in the Lake District for a family holiday or short break with a group of friends, Bannerrigg is the ideal choice.

“Outside there’s a new large slate patio. An eight seat hot tub has been installed in its own building in the garden and the parking area has been extended to fit five cars (in fact if you are prepared to park each other in, there’s room for seven cars).

“Bannerrigg has five bedrooms, one being a family room with two daybeds and a double, another large room has four single beds. The house is an ideal base for the larger party and with the train and bus station literally around the corner, it’s easily accessible for those members of your group that are travelling from far and wide.”

Customers can book the cottages individually or coordinate the dates with the other properties along the street so that the whole party can stay together during the break.
