YOU CAN live like a Laird for just £75 in the grounds of this 14th Century Scottish Castle home to the family who sided with Robert the Bruce but were booted out of Scotland for supporting Charles I of England during the Civil War.

Buried in rich history, the visually mesmerizing castle was erected during the barony of Robert Skene after being granted the title in 1318 by King Robert, who held the crown from 1306 until his death 1329.

The title held by the Skene family until 1827 gave him this impressive build which has been re-modelled several times, eventually becoming the museum it is today.

Ingeniously, an annex cottage has been built in its latest modification giving you the ability to stay on site for a truly unique experience in Aberdeen this year.

A stone floor supports the kitchen fitted with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, so there’s no shortage of appliances to make sure you have the most convenient and comfortable stay possible.

A real treat given here is the regions vast selection of castles, in fact the region offers more castles per acre than anywhere else in the UK. Huntly, Fyvie, Crathes, Balmoral and many other castles are available to tour. If you want to explore every castle, there’s a dedicated tour available online.
