AS HYPE for the newly released Captain Marvel reaches fever pitch, one super-dad photographer has given his adorable five-year-old daughter the makeover of her lifetime by transforming her into the movie’s lead female superhero.

Heart-warming video footage shows photographer, Josh Rossi, surprise his five-year-old daughter, Nellee, with her very own movie poster at the cinema after seeing the new hit film as a family on its release on International Women’s Day (March 8, 2019).

The incredible clips go onto show the behind the scenes making of the movie poster with Nellee dressed as Brie Larson’s character.

Stunning pictures show the final movie poster with Nellee standing defiantly in its centre like a real superhero whilst another shows Josh’s family posing with the movie poster on display in their local cinema.

Los Angeles and Puerto Rico based photographer Josh took inspiration from his daughter’s love of superheroes for the project, having previously turned her into Wonder Woman in 2016.

“My daughter loves female superheroes and I love making her superhero dreams come true. The other day she literally thought she was a superhero,” said Josh.

“She came home from school one day and told us that her friends had made fun of her because of her worn-down shoes. To my surprise, she didn’t seem too affected, and so I kept asking for more details. After all, she’s a five-year-old who makes up a bunch of stories anyway, and I wanted to get to the bottom of it.

“She told me that in fact she had been made fun of but instead of being sad, she told me it was ok because she was a superhero. I didn’t realise the impact that my photoshoots had on her until when I heard that.

“After doing a bunch of these photoshoots, my daughter has become pretty good at posing and getting into the zone when it’s time to shoot. She loves posing and ‘pretending’ to be a superhero.

“After doing these shoots with her she has definitely grown in confidence.”

Nellee’s Captain Marvel costume was created by Julie Whiteley and took a month to make.

Once the shoot which Josh’s wife Roxanna helped coordinate, finished, it took Josh around a day to complete each picture in photoshop.
