WATCH as one overzealous customer accidentally drives a car through a showroom window, showering the store in glass and damaging three other cars.
The CCTV footage shows the car suddenly shoot forward from its parked space inside the showroom and crash through the large window.
Video from a camera outside shows another angle as the car comes through the window and continues down the lot, crashing into three other parked vehicles.
The incident happened at a Hyundai showroom in Mani in Himachal Pradesh, India after a girl had gone to buy an i20 car at a Hyundai showroom along with her parents.
She sat inside a car, started it and pressed the accelerator. The car lunged forward breaking the glass barrier and crashed outside the showroom, where it hit three more cars.
Footage from showroom shows shocked employees running behind the car and clutching their head.
An employee said: “The girl did not realise the vehicle was a gearless automatic with excellent puck up. As soon she pressed the accelerator, it moved and she was not able to control it.”
“We are estimating the damages, which will be recovered from her parents,” said the employee.
