INCREDIBLE images and video footage have revealed the bird’s nest-style tree house hotel room that could offer a unique stay near Paris for £285 a night.

The Origin Tree House wraps around a century-old oak tree on the grounds of Château de Raray, not far from Paris. Stunning shots show the 23-square-metre property perched high among the trees, with a wooden bridge leading to its entrance.

Other pictures show the remarkable interior as the huge oak tree makes way to a king-sized bed and a living area looking out a huge window into the forest.

“The architectural challenge was to create a functional and comfortable hotel room, being faithful to the first inspiration of the project: a bird-nest,” said Marco Lavit Nicora from the architecture firm.

“The design of the cabin, coupled with the construction techniques, led to a rationalization of the assembly logic of the branches collected by the birds to create their impregnable shelters.

“Meeting point between poetry and carpentry mastery, ORIGIN tree house discreetly stands out among the centenarian oaks of the Château de Raray forest, as if it had always been part of the scenery.

“A cosy, bright and intimate atmosphere fills the space thanks to the large windows. The inner lining of the wall is made out of poplar, a light and clear wood essence with a subtle scent.

“The smooth, flat interior walls are matched by the custom-made furniture surfaces, worked with fine horizontal slats, in a simple game of geometric volumes.

“Around the patio the living spaces develop in succession; from the entrance to the living area and the sleeping area, till a narrow corridor with three sliding doors that give access respectively to a dressing room, a well equipped bathroom and a technical closet.

“Each one of the living spaces faces the large windows overlooking the forest, offering a mid-air view on the foliage of the centennial oaks of the domain.”

Breakfast is included in the price per night and the tree house even has its own private heated hot tub which can be accessed via a gangway.

Other amenities to make for a comfortable stay include a shower room, central heating and a balcony to look out over the woods.
