However, while consuming a diet filled with takeaways, processed foods and sugary treats, she always felt as though something was missing and she constantly felt like she never felt completely right.

India had heard a few good things about the carnivore diet online, so thought she’d give it a try. This led to her losing five stone to become a UK dress size 8 from a 16.

Indiaā€™s carnivore diet consists of raw meat including liver, steak, brain, testicles, intestines, beef, raw dairy, organic cheese and animal fats such as tallow.

An average day of eating for India starts with uncooked steak and eggs or steak and liver for breakfast, a big piece of steak and some other organ and eggs for her main meal, water, raw dairy to drink on throughout the day, and although she rarely snacks it would usually be liver or steak.

Although she understands peopleā€™s reservations, she is passionate about the carnivorous diet and how beneficial it can be.

ā€œI became a carnivore because I had heard such great things about it, both mentally and physically,ā€ she said.

India primarily gets her meat from local butchers, as they prioritise quality and she can get the most benefits from the fresh product.

ā€œI get my meat from the butchers because butchers prioritise the quality and freshness of these products.

ā€œThey know about their meats, where it is coming from and how to prepare it in the proper way – unlike supermarkets and it’s good to support local business.

ā€œThe carnivore diet is very nutrient dense, containing rich sources of vitamins such as B12 and D and minerals such as iron and zinc.ā€

Since starting her carnivorous diet, India has lost five stone, which she owes to the meat-based diet.

ā€œI was very overweight, I do not agree that being overweight and underweight is healthy at all,ā€ she said.

ā€œIā€™m all for body positivity, but if your weight is impacting your health you should definitely do something about it.

ā€œI was very depressed before my diet, and had no motivation due to recent life traumas.

ā€œSince this change, I had more energy playing sports and didnā€™t get tired as quickly.ā€

A huge factor for India was how much her sleeping improved on the carnivorous diet, which she stated was terrible when she was on other diets.

ā€œI used to have terrible sleep and would get the worst nightmares due to the alcohol I was drinking,ā€ she said.

ā€œMy bad diet was putting me into more REM sleep.

ā€œSince being a carnivore, this has stopped and Iā€™ve been having a good, deep sleep every night.

ā€œI used to be quite an irritated, short tempered person but now I am at peace. Barely anything bothers me now. I can always see the positives in life, I love life.

ā€œI do it for peace and longevity.ā€

Despite the benefits India has gained from the carnivorous diet, many people have given her hate and even death threats for posting about her carnivorous diet journey online, but India just wants people to hear her out and do some research on the topic before they throw hate towards her because of the carnivorous diet.

ā€œI do get hate but I donā€™t blame the people who give me hate as we have all grown up to believe that red meat is bad for you,ā€ she said.

ā€œBut with a simple bit of research and education we can see from studies thatā€™s far from the case.

ā€œI have had death threats, videos reported, people falling out with me without listening to my reasoning.

ā€œAll I want to do is help people and make people thrive in life and I do believe the carnivore diet is the way.

ā€œIf people took the time to hear me out instead of just seeing the smaller picture they will see why I am doing what I do.ā€
