Incredible images show the unlikely friends walking down the street and playing basketball where their height difference is most noticeable.

Other striking shots show driving in a car, laughing and joking around and chatting as the taller man leans down to put them on an equal level.

Czech photographer David Tesinsky has captured a beautiful friendship between the shortest man and tallest man in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

David met the pair – Marcos and Santiago – while he was couch surfing in NL and was inspired to photograph the unlikely duo together.

Marcos is 40 years old, from NL and was born with dwarfism. He doesn’t have a job, but he is always collecting bottles and other materials to recycle. He loves to read books, listen to music and watch movies.

Santiago is 23-years-old, also from NL and is a photographer and basketball player. The duo met each other one sunny day and became best friends straight away.

David captured the pair playing basketball together, as that is their favourite activity to do together. However, he noted that Marcos could not walk or play for a long time due to his dwarfism.

“In my photos, you can see the magic of a friendship between two men who were never likely to become best friends – the shortest and tallest men in town,” said David.

“I love the fact that this photo series kills stereotypes – I want to open people’s eyes”.
