THESE ADORABLE British newborn babies are sure to melt your heart this Christmas in these festive themed photoshoots.
The super cute seasonal series shows some babies in adorable Santa hats, sleeping on a sleigh and curled up in the centre of a wreath whilst another snoozes on a rocking horse in front of a decorated Christmas tree.
Other pictures show a smiley baby dressed up as Rudolph, snuggled in Father Christmas’ arms and another swaddled in a red blanket surrounded with festive characters in the formation of a tree.
The charming photographs were taken by photographers, Samira Magrabi and Rachel McDonald of Hey Little You Studios at their studio in Ferndown, Dorset, UK.
“There has been a baby boom for us this Christmas, we’ve been trying to work out what was happening nine months ago, maybe a big power cut in our area or the launch of the 50 Shades of Grey sequel. Something has contributed to all these little babies being born,” said Samira.
“We wanted to capture babies born at this special time of year with some festive photos.
“Once the babies are super sleepy we carefully pose them in adorable setups. The best part about having two photographers during the shoot is one of us is always close by to the baby.
“Safety is our number one priority, it’s an art we have worked hard to perfect.
“To ensure we can pose the babies they need to be super sleepy. It takes lots of patience to wait for the baby to fall into a deep sleep before we start to pose them.
“Once they are asleep and have a tummy full of milk they don’t even stir when we move them.”
Samira and Rachel take their photos using a Nikon D610 camera. Previously two rival photographers in the same area, the pair decided to join forces and ditch the rivalry to form Hey Little You Studios Ltd after a meet up at a soft play area with their children.
They shared their favourite thing about newborn photography.
“Making memories. Watching parents’ reactions as they watch us work together is amazing. They love to sit back, relax and watch their babies happily sleep whilst looking adorable,” added Samira.
“We know lots of our photos are used for Christmas cards and gifts at this time of year which makes Grandparents very happy too.
“Parents come back to our studio to view their photos and it’s not uncommon for them to cry.
“This is such a special time in their lives and watching on our large screen their baby can become very emotional.”
