THIS BRITISH male makeup artist taught himself the art of SFX illusions so he could transform himself into a woman complete with hyper-realistic cleavage ā but it takes five hours to perfect the look.
Pictures show the master of illusion sporting a melted face and a look he calls āIām always watching youā where his eyes have been replicated by makeup which has confused some of his friends as they didnāt know which of the eyes are his.
Other photos show him as a glamorous āIce Kingā whereas another picture shows in fully-fledged drag queen makeup, looking convincingly like a diva with BOOBS.
Makeup artist, Cameron Ian Hunter (18), from Clackmannanshire, Scotland, was approached in 2017 by a local salon called BeLush on Facebook after his talents were recognised by many.
They asked him to do SFX makeup for their business and ever since this big break, Cameron has been using multiple toolkits costing a bounty of over Ā£1,000 to create stunning looks and illusions, building a client base.
āMy family find my SFX looks so scary that they get a fright when I walk downstairs with it done,ā Cameron said.
āI’ve definitely been creative for years, but I didn’t really know I had the talent for SFX until I started to play around with it last year.
āLast year around Halloween I was asked by BeLush Salon to do SFX makeup for them, as I was noticed by them on Facebook.
āI really enjoy doing SFX as it is completely different to glam makeup and can transform anyone to become unrecognisable.
āOne of my favourite looks would have to be my eye illusion look called ‘I’m always watching you’.
āIāve had a lot of people commenting on how amazing they think it is and how they don’t know what eyes are mine.
āI take a lot of ideas and inspiration from Pinterest and Instagram as itās hard to come up with brand new ideas that haven’t been done before, as there are so many great SFX artists out there.
āI usually have a look around and then take an idea and adapt it to suit me and what I think would be intriguing and challenge me also when I’m creating it.
āFor SFX looks I have done on myself, the maximum time would be roughly five hours as I am a perfectionist and want to get every little detail right to make sure my look is as good as it can be.ā
Cameron says that while he currently never steps out of his house with his full glam or SFX makeup on, he would like to in the future to help change societyās views regarding male makeup.
āI go out most days of the week with basic male makeup on such as foundation and making sure my eyebrows are done,ā he said.
āMy friends and family are very supportive of what I do and find the end result just as cool as I do. They always help me with ideas and promoting me to a wider audience.
āI frequently receive messages from a wide range of genders and ages telling me how amazing they find my looks and how I should keep going.ā
