This Huge Tropical Paradise In The Middle Of The Pacific Ocean Is On The Market For £7.7 Million

THIS TROPICAL 800-acre private island lies just 25-miles from Million Dollar Point where America dumped their military material at the end of WW2 and could be yours for around £7.7m.

 

Amazing aerial images show the variety on offer at the large island with lush forest giving way to stunning greenery, white sand beaches and shimmering ocean.

 

Other striking shots show the luxurious accommodation on the island with the large house offering a cinema room, pool and sun lounge area and a wooden walkway to the beach.

 

Lataro Island is located off the coast of Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu in the Pacific Ocean and is currently listed for around £7.7m on www.vladi-private-islands.de.

 

“Lataro Island (Leasehold island, 75 years lease, lasts until 2082) is an 800 acre private island located off the coast of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu’s northern islands,” reads the listing.

 

“Ninety per cent is untouched by man. Old growth rainforests, together with a wonderful array of flora and fauna has lain undisturbed for thousands of years.

 

“The six km of pristine Coral reef surrounding the island is a marine conservation area and teems with beautiful fish and coral life. Only a handful of people have ever dived this spectacular reef and most parts of it have never been explored underwater.”

 

The island is very eco-friendly. At least 99% of the electricity is produced by solar. Rainwater is supplied from above and the pristine air means that it is pure and tasty.

 

A total of 90% of the island is a Conservation Reserve and a last refuge for the endangered Coconut Crab, the world’s largest terrestrial crab. Birdlife includes owls, eagles and parrots.

 

The luxurious accommodation has been constructed over the last three years and comprises the owners’ residence made up of four separate buildings connected with undercover walkways – these include a kitchen, bar, dining and entertainment area around the swimming pool and media room/office/study and ‘play room’.

 

There is a large two bedroom guesthouse, a self-contained manager/caretakers house, separate staff accommodation for up to eighteen and a huge maintenance shed. The buildings are Balinese style with plenty of exposed timber and dark tinted glass.

“The sea surrounding the island is the ultimate playground for game fishing, diving, yachting, everything aquatic and there are several safe moorings for boats up to around 60 feet off the front of the property,” continues the listing.

 

“A great super yacht anchorage is in the bay opposite and is visible from the property but don’t expect to see many boats as they are few and far between.

“The island is available on a walk-in, walk-out basis including boats, toys and all furniture and equipment. A piece of land on the mainland is also available as an access point although many visitors prefer to fly directly to the island and utilise its own grass airstrip.”
